Does anybody know the name of this bird?

Please can anyone help us? We saw on Sunday this very interesting bird on the beach in Lanzarote, but we cannot find out what type of bird it is, nobody knows...crying

Please if any of you nature lovers know what type of bird is this – let us knowenlightened

Here's some info I found on it:

He's the Hoopoe bird and is one of the 35 species found in Lanzarote and he apparently flies like a moth kind of clumsily and floundering but that is when you see his wings and colours at their best - like everyone -flying brings out their best colours!!!
