The 999 Card

The 999 Card

Does it ever happen to you that when you are in a difficult situation the last thing, which comes to your mind is something that can help you?

  • We can learn to be prepared for these situations. One of the examples for this could be the 999 card.
  • Cut out little cards 10cm x 10cm and on one side write the difficult situation either feeling fear, food craving, panicky feelings, guilt feelings, loneliness, boredom...and on the other side write a list of things which helped you to overcome these situations or feelings before.
  • Make several of each card and put them in your handbag, on the wall of your room, beside your bed, in the pockets of your coats or cardigans, beside your bed, anywhere else.
  • Read these cards as often as possible; update them with new experiences.
  • The more you learn to use them the faster they will work.
