Dear all,

I am struggling to break the binge eating cycle, with college work and exams this year, as usual this is something I struggle with. I have gotten there before - by eating healthy meals at regular times throughout the day. But when the stress gets to me, I go off on myself and the ed comes into play.

I am wondering does anyone have any advice for self-care while studying and keeping stress levels down.

Thanks

Hope ur all doing well, XXX

little reminders...

hello my dear Eva,

Just a quick one because I have to leave for work soon.
I was in exactly your situation a few years back...
Exam time is a challenging time, and it is always helpful to look at your energy requirements very clear and realistically. You need so much more regular fuel to be able to keep your concentration up. Another thing is, make sure you get enough sleep, small periods of rest in between as well.
The urge to binge often comes from some deficiency and unbalance in your nutrition level. Therefore it is very very important that you eat regular meals and snacks, especially protein. I noticed my urges to binge to go down significantly when I started to avoid any moments of starvation or malnourishment in any way.
I used to completely forget about the time with all the studying and go way beyond snack times...so I resolved this in setting reminders in my phone, to remind me that it was time for a snack or a 15 min rest.
This really really helped...

Good luck, look after yourself,
Love,
xxx Robin xxx

Just registered and new to

Just registered and new to all this. Have been going on this iceberg site for some time now but plucked up the courage to sign up today everybody seems so nice and genuine said I'd jump on and maybe be a part of something nice :)
What really helped me though to sign up today was that I really wanted to write back to your post. I completely relate I've exams coming up now before Christmas and I definately use my behaviours to ease it abit. I supose I feel that maybe writting on here might help get me back on the right track. I've been through different treatments throughout the years but still haven't been able to beat this but I always do feel somewhere inside of me that there is something better out there so thanks robin for the advice and evam for the post.
