try out something new...

Hey mystique,
thanks for this info, this sounds like a very interesting day.
Like Marie said, you could certainly do a lot of self care and get a lot of learning out of it.
It sounds exciting, full of new things to try out.
I already know what events I'd like to do...
Unfortunately I can't go though :S
But whoever can, don't hesitate and write about your new experiences here on Iceberg!!

Love,
xxx Robin xxx

Hi all, I dropped in to the

Hi all,

I dropped in to the open day myself after I finished work, and grabbed some lunch before heading in. I did a yoga class, which I found challenging yet enjoyable. I had attended a workshop with the yoga instructor about a year ago. After that I went to a nutrition talk, as had heard really good things about the person in question, and on account of food tolerances that have come to light these past few months, was something I was interested in. I liked what she had to say - without going into the details of what she said, a lot of what she had to say made a lot of sense to me. She was of the viewpoint that our bodies have an innate knowing of how to function, so we don't really need drugs for a lot of things that people take medication for. She said that very often you take pills for one thing, but it inhibits a function elsewhere in the body. She herself said that she does not like the word diet, as very often they are all very complex too, whereas her philosophy of following what she termed 'the stone age diet' was very simple - a little bit of everything, and even things she would not deem to be that healthy for her, she would still treat herself now and again.
