Song Lyrics
I'm not sure if this qualifies for the "Good News Corner", which can I just say is a great development on the site, but I thuoght I'd share some of the lyrics of a song that never fails to uplift me when I hear it on the radio.
It is by Natasha Beddingfield, and I heard it again yesterday:
FEEL THE RAIN ON YOUR SKIN.
NO ONE ELSE CAN FEEL IT FOR YOU, ONLY YOU CAN LET IT IN.
NO ONE ELSE, NO ONE ELSE CAN SPEAK THE WORDS ON YOUR LIPS.
DRENCH YOURSELF WITH WORDS UNSPOKEN,
LIVE YOUR LIFE WITH ARMS WIDE OPEN,
TODAY IS WHERE YOUR BOOK BEGINS,
THE REST IS STILL UNWRITTEN.
Marie has used the analogy of writing a big, fat autobiography for ourselves, instead of worrying about the size of body parts.
This is not a concept intended to put pressure on us to accomplish out-of-this-world feats each day, but an invitation to live a little, contribute to the amount of happiness in the world, learn something new, try something small that we've never tried before, be as kind as we can manage to a family member who we normally find challenging to be with, make something, even if it's just a daisy-chain.
It's your book. No one else can write it for you. And how wonderful that 'the rest is still unwritten'. No one is doomed to suffer. It is never too late to begin writing. We just need to open our eyes, ears, hearts, and minds.
And every story is of equal value. Write yours. Go on.

Very inspirational Michelle.Song lyrics as you say are very powerful and there is a strong link between words music emotions and senses. We should all make ourselves a 'positive' cd mix of our own songs that uplift us.Just as we are unique ,the songs will be unique to us.
The ink should never be dry in the 'book of our lives'.Look forward to the next chapter and what you would like life to look like - we can't forget the past chapters but don't dwell on them.Start creating the future you want. Ian
