hi everyone..i guess im just reaching out for a little help and hope , as i am really struggling with life and my disordered eating right now...im so scared of the situation i find myself in, and while i know im the only one that can change it i seem to freeze and not take the needed actions for recovery..im really struggling with physical problems and again in my mind i know these can never repair until i work at repairing them such as tiredness, constipation, ibs, osteoprosis...iv read so much input on the internet/magazins/health shops as to how best to treat these symptoms that i got confused, scared and immobile as they all contradicted and having no clear self belief i feel like im buried under the contradicting messages about what to do and how to do it to repair my body..to be honest it became an unhealthy obsession looking for the next quickfix solution , the end to the daily pain and battle and in a way it fed my e.d, i feel so uncomfortable and that discomfort i find i try and constantly detach from, solve...eradicate..i find it constantly difficult to concentrate feeling this way and it really effecting my life, dont even want to be around people anymore..i feel so angry at my body and i dont know how to help it anymore...bottom line im afraid of food, yet it my medicine and im afraid it will and does hurt me...thank u so much for listening....i do believe in recovery i just am a bit lost right now and all guidance or advice is SO APPRECIATED:)

Lovely Niki

Hi my lovely niki,

I have been here before with the constipation and ibs and then ulcer pains and like you thought they would not pass and would not get better but let me tell you they do. Condition is making you think they wont if you take action please try not listen to that ugly voice even just for a minute and find a quiet place and relax even in a hot bubble bath just for some you time.

I know what you mean reading all the books and finding all these different answers they can make you worse...i know you just want to scream...well i have found taking odos oil is brilliant to help the digestion is great.

I know you dont want to hear this and you will probably say are you serious but even try not for awhile not concentrate on it and wear soeme baggy clothes so you dont feel so concious about it.

Some peppermint tea during the day and some camomile at night is great...

Oh i hope some of this helps my chicken as i know this side of it is hard but i will say that having the food taking it day by day can help it will ease after a few days if you keep trusting your body knows what to do i never thought i would say that but that is the only thing that got me through this part trust that beautiful body you have..my lovely.

Sending love to you pet

Sonya

Niki, You poor thing. I've

Niki,

You poor thing. I've struggled with what has been diagnosed as IBS for years and it's an awful thing. One thing I find extremely unhelpful, although difficult not to do (!!!) is reading tips and stuff in magazines or on the internet. There is just so much conflicting information out there and it won't help you. You read something is good and you can guarantee the next article will say it's bad. I know it's had to avoid this stuff but it will serve you in the long term. The problem with IBS is that it's so different for everyone, you have to just find what does or doesn't work for you. I find some gentle exercise really helps me although I don't know where you're at exercise wise but if it's ok for you then I'd say give that a go. Annoyingly, it comes down to patience and experimentation. All the things that Sonya has mentioned have also helped me at different points so it may be worth trying them out.

Keep up the fight Niki :) This is genuinely the hardest part and it is so difficult to feel positive about your recovery when you feel so bad physically. It will get better.

Love Fio xx

welcome to iceberg niki i know what your talking about and its totally uncom4table and the pain and so on but i can promise you it does go after a while with lots of PATIENCE and self care.these are just afew things that helped me.
i dont read the magazines total bull.... just listen to my practtioners {as much as you can :).
i used to be wrecked tired all the time and yes condiion will fill you with negative thoughts when i recommened a 20 minute rest during the ay/ i also found calling it my siesta time :)
constipation was a huge thing for me i thought id never go without a laxative but im totally off them and i found rubbing mt tummy in square movements good and also some yoga stretches (if your allowed but gentle ones).
i also drink aloe vera juice prune juice ) try some deep breathing exercises.
for the ibs and ulcer i got tablets from doctor and they do actually help. also for the ulser i know its challenging but i fuel with small meals every two/three hours yougurts are great and fruit ,nuts, also the ensure compact energy drinks are alrite to drink.
osteoprosis take some calcium tablets and warm milk heated and fluffed is yummy and soothing on the tummy.
these are just things that helped me
i hope something helps you here. sending you a hug xx xx YOU CAN DO IT XX XX

Hi hunny how r u doing? I

Hi hunny how r u doing? I totally know how u feel. I have been in pain form what i think is ibs for a long time/ulcer/stroke bugs. Anyway i have some tips that hav really been helping me with the constipation and believe me i hav tried everything.

eggs are great as the protein for me does not seem to be as hard to digest as the fibre
maybe watch fruit intake i had to cut down on dried fruit and apples etc as found them to0 acidic
aloe vera juice, udos oil, super 8 vitamins which are probiotics.
if u go to the centre i could leave some natuiral cultures to make your own yogurt, it is amazing and i credit my tummy feeling better last few wks to this, all made of natural bacteria to help gut basically to work for itself again.
gentle yoga stretches again there are twists very gentle that help movement
peppermint tea mixed with fennel teabags
relaxation, a bath with essentail oil, and rub castor oil on ur tummy in a clockwise direction (really cheap from pharmacy)
I have started to take b complex vitamins which relax the nervous system and it is when i started taking these that i also notice a difference

I have bought sooo many books and looked in soo many mags and like quinnfo said everyone is different but the above i really have noticed for me out of EVERYTHUING that i hav tried have worked for me.

Hope this helps and i second everything that girls says above
