The idea of going to see a silent black and white film did not appeal to me but I decided to venture to the cinema last night to see 'the artist'. To my surprise I thoroughly enjoyed it. The film reminded me of the implications of not been willing to change and go with the flow of life. How often do we refuse to try something new, change a routine/habit, change a value or belief? It made me question my values, beliefs and everyday actions. Are they satisfying my needs? Are they enabling me to make the most out of live? Life goes on and if we are not willing to be open to other ways of doing things we will be left behind.

A great film to bring you into the present moment and put your senses to work! I was amazed how much focus and attention I paid to the setting, movements, props etc, all of which I would have practically ignored previously! Anyway if you’re looking for a light hearted movie ‘the artist’ is sure to put a smile on your face!!!
