Getting in touch with your senses can be very effective and be very calming. Creating your own 'sensory spa' at home, is a great way to relax.
*Sight -visit places which are appealing to you, whether its a peaceful and tranquil lake in the countryside or a happening and exciting
city. Wear clothes you love, bright, bold colours that stand out -be beautiful!

*Sound -turn on the radio, put your iPod on shuffle, listen for everyday sounds in nature that we take for granted (beach waves, birds
tweeting..) Just let yourself go and listen..

*Touch -have a bath. The feeling of water on your skin can be calming and energizing. Have a massage, give and receive hugs. Wear
soft feeling clothes. Play with your pet! (stroking a pet can lower heart rates aaaand animal companionship helps people
recover from a mental illness)

*Smell - Wake up and smell the coffee! Familiarize yourself with new, fresh smells. Surround yourself with scented candles and oils.
Take a visit to the body shop, or a perfume shop.

*Taste -Try new foods that have different tastes and textures. Fruit & Veg are very colourful (and full of essential vitamins & minerals!)
and are very eye catching. Add herbs to food, such as mint or ginger.

BE YOU(tiful)
