Calorie counting in the restaurants

Hello everyone,
When I did hear that our Minister for Health would like to introduce calories counts on the menus in the restaurants I did not know if I should laugh or get angry – will they ever learn? At fisrt I really thought if was a joke, but it is becoming reality…
I can’t find anything positive on this action, but I can see a lot of danger in this suggestion, especially for people with ED, I think this could be very, very harmful and dangerous step, which can caused a lot of setbacks and anxieties and maybe even to stop people going to the restaurant.

Hey everyone, I havn't posted in a while but I could do with some advice!! I feel I have been doing really well and for the first time recovery seems like a possibility on the horizon :)!! However,I had to go to the doc today and I have a nasty chest infection,I am on antibiotics again (i suffer from recurring infections). That is not even the worst thing,i have suffered in condition for many years and it has taken on different shapes and forms in my life during that time,at the moment I am on they heavy side of ED and my doc commented on my weight and how much i should/need to lose.

Breaking out for Spring!

Hi there
I just want to share a success, although difficult, I pushed through conditions contraints today and took a further step towards freedom.
I have for some time been locked in by condition re what I can or can't eat at lunchtime, where I can eat, what time and even at one time what brand and what spoon and bowl. Looking back I've chipped away and had achieved wriggle room, bit by bit. When I look back I had even forgotten the spoon thing and the brand thing, yet at the time they seemed impossible. I had tackled one aspect at a time and when one thing went, the next became easier.

Weight gain & exercise during recovery

Hey guys!

I hope this post will be approved of as it is talking quite straight forward about recovery related to weight gain...

At the moment I'm doing quite fine in recovery - nutritionwise, mental stuff etc....but then there are those fears we all know so well...:-(

For example, my biggest fear at the moment is this: I've recently been reading several sources on ana recovery that say that a typical thing in recovery/refeeding is gaining around the body-midsection...

Any tips to help with being homesick ?

Being Homesick,
It is important to be aware of homesickness as a normal process which you may go through when you are leaving home for a new country to study or work.

Homesickness can include ...

• being miserable without knowing why
• feeling like a prisoner in your own room/flat/house
• being unable to get into a reassuring routine
• not liking meals because the atmosphere doesn't feel right
• wondering what people at home are doing; feeling as if you are missing out
• wanting to go home straight after you have arrived in a party
