FREEDOM.......

FREEDOM.....

From a soft spring , from the the golden carpet of the sea shore , the sand trickling to create the unique footprint of the precious step you have made.
The crunch and crispness of the autumn leaves , a collage of warm and earthy colours , from choclate brown , to caramel beige , create a quilt of warmth , to guide you on your way .....

The heavinly sound of a wide open sea , as the waves dance and harmonise with each unique fall.
To the howling wind , as it echoes a beautiful sound of power and strength......an orchestra of triumph

I feel here.

I watched "Precious" at the weekend. It's a tough film to watch - extremely well-directed, -scripted and -acted, but not exactly light-hearted.

BELIEVING

BELIEVING

Today I would like to share you , take you back , I have to add a good few years now ! to a very special time , when I would lie in my bed , my mind so excited , that my little toes would curl ! my duvet pulled up so high , with my head nestled with just a little peeping hole , to see if I could catch a glimpse of that magical red coat ! my ears standing upright like a litle elf ! , to hear the sound of the magic bell , and my face lying sideways , waiting to feel the tickle of that magical white beard

family and iceberg

One thing that strikes me with parents , family and significant others and aligned to the idea of walking the talk, is lack of activity on Iceberg!! Where are ye all, why are ye not posting, it's anonymous??!!.

Our recovery pet corner

This is a photo of Fidget - a blotched tabby. He is a great source of joy to us because of his character and uniqueness. If we have a bad day we come home and he welcomes us in his special way.He has no esteem issues and does not compare himself with others - he is who he is - take me or leave me.He also believes in balance - much self care and rest - mainly on our ironing board! Thankfully there is no 'Hello' magazine for cats!
We could all learn from his character.

fed up

Fed up today, fed up with myself. My head is full of shoulds, followed by self berating for not acting on them. Feel stuck and frozen in that awful place , no longer totally numb and in denial, yet nowhere near recovery, that place where awareness is improved but this is weighed down with guilt for bad behaviour and fear of making changes.

5 Senses :)

Getting in touch with your senses can be very effective and be very calming. Creating your own 'sensory spa' at home, is a great way to relax.
*Sight -visit places which are appealing to you, whether its a peaceful and tranquil lake in the countryside or a happening and exciting
city. Wear clothes you love, bright, bold colours that stand out -be beautiful!

*Sound -turn on the radio, put your iPod on shuffle, listen for everyday sounds in nature that we take for granted (beach waves, birds
tweeting..) Just let yourself go and listen..
