Today is the first day of spring, a time of new growth and new beginnings. It is an opportunity to make a frest start and focus on what we want in life. What do you want in your life this month?

FEBRUARY

F –Freedom and Fun
I want to bring more fun into my life and continue to gain full freedom in my life

E-Experience
I want to make February a month where I am open to trying new things and start experiencing life. I want to discover my passions and interests and get to know myself.

B- Birthday

Self Credit & Compassion - how far I've come

Today I feel really proud of how I handled a situation that could potentially have throw me & knocked me off my recovery jorney. I am sitting here writing this & am still giving heaps of credit to myself for how well I put recovery tools to use today, especially on the credit & compassion front.

I started a new job today & I was nervous & fearful of this day( due to the fact that I have been away from the work environment for a good few months)

Saturday 21st January - Today's Hero

This is the most beautiful story I came across here today...
A story of faith, determination, not giving up and going against all odds:

The story of Faith the dog, today's hero and a real role model...

Faith the dog, a puppy born with only three legs (two functioning back lags and a severely deformed front leg that would later be amputated) was rescued from being smothered by her mother on 21st January 2003.

Ok so after expressing all that blah in my last post I decided only I can change how I am feeling today. I've acknowledged the not so good ways I'm feeling so I'm not discarding them but to sit in those feelings for too long will not do me any good so its now time for me to change my focus.

CHOICE

CHOICE WE CHOSE RECOVERY
For so long I HAVE flicked from action to procrastination to excuse to reasoning to bla bla
None of us choose the ED but Recovery IS A CHOICE. If I didn't make the choice to recover I'd still be in condition behaviours every single day. The condition is easy & it is difficult to challenge it to go thru stress and not use it as a coping mechanism to sit with uncomfortable feelings but I have the choice to sit with them or go back to the condition.

Good News

Hello everyone,
I can see that our ‘Good News Corner’ is a little bit starving. Every day some good news is happening, sometimes it is harder o see it, but it does not mean, that it is not there.
What about if we start to share all the Recovery good news more often. It does not matter how small it is, when we share it , it will become bigger. It will help other Icebergers to motivate them and it will definitely help you.

This is a poem I was given at a time that was very apt at the time. It meant so much to me at the time due to other things that were going on when I received this poem.
