Australia Reports High Incidents of Eating Disorders in Males

 

A study of adolescents in Sydney reveals that there are a large proportion of teenagers who are suffering from eating disorders. It was reported that 68% of 15 year girls undertake dieting. Some of these girls will even succumb to detrimental dieting behaviors, which will lead to the inception of eating issues. There will also be some that will do themselves harm and also binge drinking.

The research took into consideration adolescents between the ages of 11 to 15. The study evinced that 16% of girls and 7% of boys had already undertaken a minimum of one dangerous method of weight loss such as starvation, vomiting and laxative abuse.
