Friendships/life
Haven't been on icebreg all week and was just catchin up on some of the articles and they're all amazin well done to everyone.
The whole friendship/relationship issue is a bit confusin for me at the moment but what was said about relationships changin as we become more and more recovered makes sense. Friendships that were most important to me in the past seem to be different now. I think this is because of the changes I see in myself each day. I have opinions now and am making my own decisions instead of needing that constant approval from others. These particular friends, probably bacause of their own insecurities, don't seem to see this as the positive step it is. I am open now to new friendships because as I grow stronger in myself I am beginning to see, despite the constant negativity that surrounds us every day that there are many positive, wonderful people in this world.
A couple of people have mentioned about learning of someone close to them showing signs of that horrible condition. I too have two people in my life that I care alot about suffering from an ed. The only thing I can say is to focus on your own recovery and take care of yourself. No words can make up for our actions. As our self-awareness and self-knowledge grows during our recovery so to will our happiness and thats all anybody wants right? So by just being yourself and helping yourself you will be an inspiration to others even tho you might not know it yet. Don't see this as a pressure just continue on with little steps towards full recovery.
Anyways thanks for all the articles I always get something from them
