I got a job!!!!!... small new years tip
Hey everyone just thought id come on and let you all know i got a job and not because they felt sorry for me or because i was the best of a bad bunch but they were actually really impressed with me.... im am genuinely shocked! now thought the excitment is wearing off and i am filled with fear anxiety nerves self doubt self judgement.... what if when i start im too slow on the uptake and they regret hiring me....also this means i am effectively takin myself off intensive. ill be honest i have been soooooo fed up with recovery i have not known whether i want it or not and i sided with the condition and havent felt guilty even though i should know better. now this oppurtunity instead off been a chance for me to show my talents and strengths is a change for me to once again return to condition i am so afraid that any progress i have made will slip away and the condition is going to take over again, i dont want to return to that dark scary place. but work is work and money is money and sessions wont pay for themselves funny how health seems so unimportant now....seems society has once again influenced me. wish me luck and strenght and courage and health ha
anyway enough of me....i have a lil tip for new years resolutions if like me you have to make them and have loads of to do/should do lists that seem impossible to get done and make you not want to do them because you have to .... sound familiar? this is what i do i make could do lists that way no pressure just some things i could do that way its like i have moe fun doing them because i want to and not have to know what i mean... hope it helps.
happy christmas and new years everyone.

Well done!
This is GREAT NEWS Ciara.
In the recession, where the competition for jobs for college graduates has never been tougher, there is no way that employers would take on a new worker cos they felt sorry for you. You have a college degree which shows that you can stick with anything that you start and finish it well. You great bubbly personality will get you places- who would want a grumpy customer service clerk or co-worker.
WELL DONE! I read recently that every day duties like working is a form of meditation so a structured day, making new friends, learning new skills and having less time each day to worry about food... it can only do you good.
Take care,
Carol
well done delighted for you,
well done delighted for you, you deserve this chance and to show ED that now u are regaining control back over your life. As Joanne said work can be a great distraction and give back a bit of the routine back into your life, you never know ho ul meet and this time next year u cud be running the place!!!
What a great start to 2010, well done and enjoy the New Year, those fears and doubts will fade but if you walk in pretending that u are the most confident woman alive soon those positive feelings and thoughts will come true for you,
Love Cara xx
well done hun!
Hi Ciara!
Well done hun ive no doubt it was coz there really impressed with ya even if u dont fully see it yet ;)
Theres always nerves starin a new job but remember your human and we need to let ourselves learn. You cant possibly walk in and know everything from day one even though our ed/perfection mindset can expect that from us!
Maybe it is a chance to return to condition. BUT maybe it is also a chance to show your abilities, to keep moving forward with life, claim more of your life back and stick it to the ed! The choice is yours my dear!!
Work can be a good thing, i know its daunting, but it gives you purpose, its a distraction, and theres less idle time to dwell on negativity, destruction and overanalysing. As much as it would be fabulous to have lots of time off for recovery recovery recovery i know wenever i had empty time it just gave the condition more time to run riot. Unless were superhuman strong and focused (and are any of us with a constant battle consuming our brains?!) then in my experience too much free time just leads to a draining state of overthinking and confusion.
Heres wishing you strength courage anh health!! :)
See u soon

Ah congrats Cir !! Delighted for you hun , ah a wonderful opportunity to have fun and meet new frieds !. Cir those feelings of nerves mingled with excitment is so natural when starting somthing new and different , so dont worry abt tht hun ! they will pass , just give yourself loads of credit and say well done me ! and enjoy hun !! & be very proud of yourself ...............& rather than thinking will i be what they want ?? will they offer me what i need , so the choice is yours hun , so give it a whirl !!hun , its an opportunity hun , and if its not what you want you can make that decision , you have the choice .......
